"Your voice and your words are not enough."

I've resisted posting on Rosanne Barr. I mean, everything that needs to be said, has been said. But afterwards MSNBC had a town hall meeting to discuss race in these "United" States. One of the guest speakers was an anti-racism advocate Tim Wise. A woke White man. I got to see him speak in person and got an autographed copy of one of his books. But I was too star-struck and to bashful to say thank you.

One of the other speakers there was one of the women who had the cops called on her for checking out of the AirBNB. She talked about the feelings she had trying to explain to the officers why they were there and what they were doing but in that instance she said she felt like, "your voice and your words are not enough." I had to pause the video.

Is this what I've been feeling and not able to identify?

Words are powerful creatures. When you speak them, things come into existence. Truth becomes tangible. But what happens when your words are not enough? What happens when truth can never form into reality?

This woman, at the AirBNB, was speaking words, but her words were not enough. They were not allowed to become tangible things that had value, merit or even consideration. What do you do then? What makes your voice enough? And why are some voices more believable than others?

Just something I'm processing.
