Unexpected Blessings

"Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans..."

That line from the Beatles couldn't be more true than it is right now. Over the past few weeks, blessings over blessings have happened to me and I never even saw them coming.

The blessings of my new family, the Dissertation Diva's motivate me and inspire me to continue on the path to completion. I joined this online group to fill a need I had. I found four sisters. We bounce ideas off each other, support each other emotionally and soon, once we are all finished with our dissertations, we will travel together. In this group of five women I think I have found my Golden Girls. We have our Blanche with her "options"; Rose, who only sees the good in people; Sophia, who always has something to teach the rest of us; Virginia (Blanches sister), who gets along with everyone and writes novels; and of course there is me, Dorothy. Dorothy, in the last scene of the series talks about how she never expected to find such wonderful women who became her sisters. That's how I feel about these women.
